As I build my altar and refine my ritual, I will include some of it's componants here.

Divine Offerings

During my ritual I offer either beer or pomegranate juice as the libation.  For the cakes I use beer bread.  Here is my recipe:

Beer Bread

3 cups of self-rising flour
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 12-oz can of your favorite beer
3 tbsp of melted butter

Preheat the over to 350 degrees and spray a loaf pan with a non-stick spray (preferably a butter-flavered one)

Mix the sugar and flour together well, and then pour in the can of beer and mix in to the dough.  Remember, this is for the Goddess - don't go cheap on Her unless it is all you can afford - She will know! If it isn't of a smooth elastic texure; add a little bit more beer until it is.

Put the batter into a regular sized loaf pan and smooth it out until the dough is touching all sides of the pan. Wet your fingers to do this.

Then after the bread has baked for a while, spread melted butter all over the top of the bread and then continue to bake until the top is golden brown.

You should bake the bread for about one hour, or until it's golden brown on top.  It all depends on your oven and how well it regulates heat.

I like to leave a few slices on the altar and miraculously they tend to disappear (but I think it has something to do more with my husband - smile)

This recipe can be doubled, or tripled, especially if you are serving it for a feast.
